1st Credit shortlisted for five industry awards
UK ethical debt purchaser Intrum UK has been shortlisted in five categories at the 2017 Collections & Customer Service Awards.
The company, part of global credit management group Intrum, has been shortlisted in categories for conduct and compliance culture; best training provider; best customer service provider; debt purchaser of the year and best public sector collections team (local collections).
The eleventh annual industry event, run by independent publication Credit Strategy, takes place in Manchester in November.
The independently-judged awards are designed to reflect the industry’s focus on conduct and compliance, particularly when it comes to the treatment of vulnerable customers.
1st Credit’s UK Managing Director Eddie Nott said he was delighted that the company has been shortlisted in every category it entered in a year in which the company has been acquired by Intrum and developed a ground-breaking joint venture with Hammersmith and Fulham Council for public sector collections.
“It has been a busy year for 1st Credit and the team has worked extra hard to ensure our customers have a positive experience that defies their expectations of debt collection,” he said.
“We recognise that our customers are often dealing with difficult circumstances and we endeavour to meet all their different needs, appropriately and personably. This is demonstrated by our industry-leading net promoter score and gold standard Investor in Customers accreditation – achieved four years in a row.
“We are delighted that we have been shortlisted in these five categories and that commitment and efforts of our staff have been recognised. We look forward to attending the awards in November.”
